What we collect

We collect the following information when you use Ride Ledger:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number
• Fleet data: vehicle registrations, driver details, contracts, payment records
• Device information: device type (iOS or Android), app version, push notification token
• Usage data: feature usage patterns (anonymised) for product improvement

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Ride Ledger service:

• Displaying your fleet dashboard and payment records
• Sending payment reminder notifications (if enabled)
• Sending monthly income report emails (if enabled)
• Processing subscription payments via ClickPesa

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data storage

Your data is stored on secure servers located in East Africa. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted immediately and permanently erased within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of all data we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your payment records and fleet data

Cookies

The Ride Ledger mobile app does not use cookies. The website uses session cookies only for the admin portal — these are never used for tracking or advertising.
